01The spirit of Covet
Covet is a place for the things people love and the friends who want to get them right. This policy describes what isn’t allowed, so that lists stay safe to share with family, colleagues and kids-at-heart alike.
It applies to everything on Covet: lists, items, links, notes, profiles, usernames and how you interact with others. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
02Prohibited items and links
Don’t save, share or link to:
- illegal goods or services, or anything you can’t legally buy or sell where you or the seller are;
- counterfeit, replica or pirated products;
- weapons, ammunition, explosives or their key components;
- illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or prescription medicines sold without a prescription;
- sexually explicit or adult content, or links to it;
- anything that sexualises minors — we report this to the authorities;
- scams, phishing pages, malware, or links designed to deceive people about where they lead.
03How to treat others
Don’t use Covet to:
- harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone, including through list titles, notes or reservations;
- post hateful content targeting people based on protected characteristics;
- impersonate another person, brand or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- share someone else’s personal information without their permission;
- make fake reservations to disrupt someone’s list, or use guest reservations to collect email addresses.
04Spam and manipulation
- No spam — including mass-following, mass-liking, or lists created just to promote a store, product or referral link.
- No fake accounts or automated sign-ups.
- No manipulating likes or follows.
- No undisclosed affiliate or sponsored promotion that misleads people.
05Intellectual property
Only post content you have the right to share. Don’t use Covet to infringe copyrights, trademarks or other rights. If you believe content on Covet infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the URL, a description of the work and your contact details, and we’ll review it promptly.
06Protecting the platform
Don’t:
- scrape, crawl or harvest data from Covet at scale, or build a competing database from it;
- use Covet’s link fetching or image proxy to reach, probe or overload other websites;
- circumvent rate limits, visibility settings, surprise mode or other access controls;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without permission, or interfere with its operation;
- upload or link to malicious code.
Found a security issue?
Thank you! Please report it privately to [email protected] instead of testing it on other people’s accounts. We won’t pursue good-faith research that respects users’ privacy.
07What we do about violations
Depending on how serious a violation is, we may:
- remove an item, list or profile content;
- make a list private or remove it from your profile;
- limit features such as following, liking or reserving;
- suspend or permanently close an account;
- report illegal content to law enforcement where required.
Where appropriate we’ll tell you what we did and why. If you think we got it wrong, reply to our message or write to [email protected] and we’ll take another look.
08Reporting
See something that breaks these rules? Use the report form or email [email protected]. Include the link to the list, item or profile and a short description. Reports are confidential — we don’t tell the person who reported them.
Covet is operated by Earth Wide Service Limited. We review reports as quickly as we can and prioritise anything involving safety, scams or minors.
